BIOGRAPHY

I started to rule the music business around 1988. That was the year when I first got the connection with an instrument. That was a trumpet. Why trumpet?  I am pretty sure that no one had any idea why...

So I started to play that thing, blow air and push those buttons. Probably I did something wrong because after a year my trumpet teacher handed me over to another one, who thought that the trumpet is not good enough for this genius and gave the euphonium in my hand.

That thing was bigger than me, but nobody cared about it. After some years, I finally managed to be bigger than the euphonium and I could even play it pretty decent.

Life thought that two instruments are not enough, so shortly I had to introduce myself to the instrument, what stuck to me for my whole life, the trombone.

Since then, I studied classical, jazz music and played with all kinds of people and orchestras, big bands, ensembles on land or sea, sometimes on the street, sometimes in studios, from small boats to huge cruise ships, in heat, in cold, sometimes in kids performances and sometimes with absolute professionals, famous bands in different countries.

Life gave me the chance to learn from one of the most amazing trombone player, arranger, teacher, mentor Ed Neumeister (USA), who gave me his knowledge and helped me to be who I am today.

At the same time, I was the lead trombone player of the great international big band, the HGM Jazz Orchestra Zagreb, where we had the chance to play with some real legends like Randy Brecker, Donny McCaslin, Erik Truffaz, Luis Bonilla, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Lew Tabakin, David Liebman, John Fedchock, John Hollenbeck, Don Menza, Micheal Philip Mossman and many more.
